Entertaining Company - Catering in Chicago

For more than three decades, Entertaining Company has brought creative food, thoughtful design, and warm hospitality to celebrations throughout Chicago. Founded by Wendy Pashman in 1989, we approach catering as a complete experience rather than simply a meal. Our team combines global culinary influences, seasonal ingredients, distinctive presentation, and personalized service to help hosts create meaningful occasions. From our Chicago base at 1640 West Walnut Street, we serve weddings, corporate gatherings, social celebrations, and cultural events.

Our menus draw inspiration from traditions around the world. We prepare Indian fusion dishes, Middle Eastern specialties, Greek and Korean selections, European classics, Jewish-inspired holiday foods, and contemporary vegetarian and vegan creations. For weddings, guests can enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres, family-style meals, seated dinners, buffet stations, and late-night snacks. We also accommodate Jain, Halal, vegetarian, and other dietary requirements, including gluten-free options.

Beyond weddings, we provide catering for corporate meetings, conferences, galas, fundraisers, holiday parties, and private celebrations at home. We also partner with Chicago's First Lady Cruises to bring our food and service aboard boats on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Depending on the occasion, we coordinate bartenders, serving staff, creative food presentations, and customized beverage service.

We also focus on sustainability through composting, recyclable or compostable serving products, and local purchasing whenever possible. Our goal is to make each event feel personal, visually engaging, and well organized.
