Every gathering has a different rhythm, and our catering is designed to fit it. Chic Chef Catering opened on January 5, 2016, after founder Ravi Jayara drew on his food-and-beverage background to build a business that first served Indian weddings and later expanded to weddings across cultures, corporate functions, and social events. We serve the Chicagoland area and clients across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Clients can choose drop-off delivery, buffet or butler-style service, family-style meals, plated dining, passed hors d’oeuvres, live food stations, or on-site cooking. Our menus include wedding meals, corporate breakfasts and lunches, holiday menus, charcuterie, Indian and Indian fusion selections, plus dishes inspired by Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, and other cuisines. We build menu choices around the event format, guest preferences, and dietary needs.
Beyond food, we can coordinate bartenders, servers, bussers, captains, private chefs, day-of coordinators, and event managers. We also offer event rentals, including tables, chairs, tents, linens, dinnerware, and dance floors, helping hosts coordinate service and setup with fewer separate arrangements. Our venue network includes spaces for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations throughout Chicagoland.
For guests with dietary preferences, menus can include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and halal options, depending on the selected dishes. We begin by learning about your occasion, guest count, location, and preferred service style, then shape a plan that fits the setting and schedule. Whether you are planning a small private gathering, a wedding reception, or a larger business event, we aim to make the dining experience welcoming, polished, and well coordinated.

The team at Chic Chef was great to work with for our daughter's Mitzvah. Very flexible about creating a menu that worked for our event and the catering staff on the day of (thank you, David) were absolutely lovely professionals. We will most definitely use Chic Chef in the future.
